False Alarm!!!

FALSE ALARM... This sucks but the team just came in and the last bit of blood work on the donor was no good. Apparently the donor had a blood infection. Everything happens for a reason, but no lungs for me today. I am in the hospital room all ready to go. But now, I will go back to waiting in Chapel Hill....

It takes dynamite to get me up
Too much of everything is just enough
One more thing I just got to say
I need a miracle every day - Grateful Dead

Just caught up on your situation and I have to say that (with tears in my eyes) I hope they find you a lung soon, so you can live a full life with Rebecca and the boys. We met 18 years ago this month and I had never heard of cystic fibrosis before you. I know that you've defied the odds and I'm so happy to see that you've been fighting all these years and enjoying every minute of it with your family. Hopefully when all this transplant business is done and you're well enough, we can catch up somewhere sometime. I know it's been a while, but you're a great guy and I wish you all the best. You can email me anytime at nightnyc@gmail.com. Love the site btw...take care old friend.

Kind of like a roller coaster, isn't it? You've made it down that first really fast hill and it wasn't so bad. The next rise might be a little slow to build up the anxiety and then you'll get a rush going down the next hill. Hang in there. Pretty soon the ride will come to a stop, the bar will lift, and you get off and look at the pictures they took. I'm with you every step of the way bud.
